The 3rd quarter Enhanced Oil Recovery Insights webinar event featured Doug Collins, the development lead for GeoPulse, a waterless impulse fracturing technology. The presentation introduces Wyoming operators to pulsed power plasma stimulation, a technology that research suggests may provide alternatives to conventional hydraulic fracturing methods. GeoPulse aims to perform the first-ever, ultra-high energy, pulsed power plasma stimulation field trials using patented equipment to transmit substantial impulses of electrical energy into a well.
