Dr. Steven M. Carpenter (1964-2022)
Steve was the Director of the Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute from 2015-2022. He was a vital part of the EORI who brought his talents, expertise, and leadership to the agency. He was a dynamic, larger-than-life Director who cultivated an innovative and productive work environment. Steve was a great mentor to many and inspired his employees to give their best. The Institute is grateful for the wisdom and vision Steve brought to EORI as Director.
Steve was passionate about many things. In addition to his work, he was especially happy to talk about his family and his love of football. The walls and shelves of his office were adorned with pictures of his family and grandchildren (13!).
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at St. Xavier High School at 600 W. North Bend Rd. Cincinnati, Ohio 45224 on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. (EST). In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Steve’s name to the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati.
