Court Wold
Court Wold is a Partner at Wold Companies and the CEO of Castle Rock Royalties, where he leads efforts to manage and grow a diversified portfolio of oil and gas interests. He began his career in energy investment banking in 2006 before transitioning to upstream operations. From 2009 to 2013, he served as a financial analyst at Cordillera Energy Partners, where the team built a private equity-backed horizontal drilling program in the Western Anadarko Basin of Texas and Oklahoma.
Following the sale of Cordillera, Court partnered with his father, Jack, and uncle, Peter, to focus on the Rockies. From 2014 to 2021, they assembled a large, operated position in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin—now operated under the WRC banner. Since 2021, Court has led the consolidation and acquisition of multiple mineral and royalty entities into a national growth platform. Today, Castle Rock holds interests in approximately 8,000 wells across all major U.S. oil and gas basins.
Court lives in Denver with his wife, Cullen, and their three children. He serves on several nonprofit boards in both Denver and Casper and remains actively involved in both communities.
