EORI presentation to Joint Minerals Committee - July 30, 2025 New!

EORI Director Lon Whitman addresses the Joint Minerals Committee. In this presentation Lon responds to public concerns raised during a prior meeting related to drinking water sources and fracking by broadly discussing the technical process of CO2 enhanced oil recovery and how these processes are wholly different from fracking.  The second half of the presentation discusses federal and state incentives for CO2 EOR, the economic severance tax exemptions for EOR and the economic benefits to the State of Wyoming, as well as discussion of current and planned CO2-EOR projects in Wyoming.
