SUMMARY:Enhanced Oil Recovery Insights: IOR/EOR Potential at Black Bank Fie
 ld (Muddy)
DESCRIPTION:EORI is hosting a new Enhanced Oil Recovery Insights event \"An
Integrated Approach to Reservoir Characterization for IOR/EOR Potential a
 t Black Bank Field (Muddy)\" from 8:00 – 10:00 AM on Wednesday\, June 3r
d\, 2026 at the True River Cross Commons.
Don't miss out on this chance
to connect with industry leaders and peers.
 &nbsp\;
 Black Bank Field\,
located in the northernmost Wyoming\, is at its economic limit unless ade
quate IOR/EOR methods can be implemented. Detailed subsurface mapping of t
he Muddy reservoir using sequence stratigraphic principles together with d
etailed core analyses and brine compatibility studies are helping to deter
mine options for further actions. Finally\, reservoir modeling and simulat
ion are providing some insights into expected outcomes of various EOR stra
 tegies.
 Presenters:

 Dr. Maziar Arshadi
 Executive Vice Presi
 dent\, Piri Technologies
Dr. Maziar Arshadi is the Executive Vice Presid
ent at Piri Technologies\, where he supports the company’s day-to-day op
erations and business activities. He earned his Ph.D. in Petroleum Enginee
ring from the University of Wyoming and has over 14 years of experience in
both technical and leadership roles. His work focuses on subsurface chara
cterization and engineering\, particularly multiphase flow and storage in
complex geosystems\, with applications in oil recovery and CO₂ sequestra
 tion.

 Joe Corning
 Energy Professional\, MT/WY Oil
 Joe
Corning is an energy professional with MT/WY Oil focused on transitional
energy project development\, enhanced oil recovery\, and brownfield renewa
 bles.

 Steve Whitaker
 Geologist
 Steve Whitaker is a hi
ghly experienced geologist who has worked with both major and independent
oil companies involving numerous aspects of the oil industry. His work has
included: mapping of subsurface and surface geology\, detailed prospect g
eneration in clastic\, carbonate\, and unconventional reservoirs\, petrole
 um engineering\, geophysics\, computer-enhanced mapping (Petra\, GeoGraphi
 x)\, reservoir characterization\, development geology\, waterflood optimiz
ation\, chemical EOR design and implementation\, acreage acquisition\, bus
iness management\, project economics/risk analysis\, and operations. He ra
n his own oil company for 16 years\, which conducted exploration and EOR/I
OR programs. He has authored several publications related to oil explorati
on and development and has received awards for his presentations at region
al\, national\, and international technical conferences.

 There is
no charge for this event\, but registration is required as space is limite
 d. After registration\, a confirmation email will be sent. Coffee and brea
 kfast snacks will be provided.
