Sr. Energy Economist
Dr. Cook serves as the Sr. Energy Economist for EORI, with a dual appointment as faculty in the Univ. of Wyoming Department Economics. Dr. Cook specializes applied energy economics and finance with subject matter work on Oil & Gas Operations, Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), CO2 Capture, Storage and Utilization (CCUS), Electricity Generation & Transmission, Experimental Economics, Cost & Performance Benchmarking, Economic Impact Assessments, and Project Finance Modeling and Evaluation. Most of Dr. Cooks work is in partnerships with various public and private entities to derive actionable insights for policymakers and business decision makers. As faculty in the UW College of Business, Dr. Cook works with MBA Students through energy project mentoring and teaching Managerial Economics, Energy Finance Project Evaluation and Decision Making. Dr. Cook is a sought-after speaker, educator and trainer, and is always on the lookout for new and interesting collaborative projects with industry.
